The Crescendo Umbrella (No. 03) brings the collection’s exuberant composition to an everyday essential, introducing colour and movement precisely when the weather offers very little of either.
Across the canopy, sweeping forms in burgundy, orange, fuchsia, soft pink, cream and warm gold flow into one another in a richly layered composition. Sculptural calabashes and decorative vessels emerge among broad petal-like curves, curling spirals, botanical details and intricate hand-drawn markings. Some forms are immediately recognizable; others seem to disappear into the surrounding artwork, giving the design its characteristic sense of discovery.
The segmented canopy gives Crescendo a particularly dynamic canvas. As the artwork travels across the individual panels, forms are enlarged, cropped and continued in unexpected ways. A vessel may dominate one section while another reveals little more than a sweep of colour, a botanical detail or the curve of a spiral. Seen from above, the composition becomes almost kaleidoscopic; viewed from beneath, the structure of the umbrella introduces another layer of geometry to the fluid artwork.
Open, Crescendo No. 03 has considerable presence. Its generous field of colour offers an expressive contrast to overcast skies, while the intricate details reward closer inspection. Folded away, the artwork compresses into bands of burgundy, orange and pink, making the umbrella distinctive even when carried rather than opened.
Made from 100% polyester pongee, the canopy is waterproof and quick-drying, supported by eight fibre ribs for structure. A semi-automatic mechanism allows for convenient one-handed opening, while the black rubber handle provides a comfortable grip and the attached wrist strap makes it easier to carry between uses. A coordinating printed sleeve keeps the folded umbrella neatly contained.
Practical by necessity and expressive by design, the Crescendo Umbrella (No. 03) makes even a grey day considerably less grey.

Leave the umbrella open to dry completely after use. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth as needed.
