The Bathurst Desk Mat (No. 05) brings a richly composed landscape across the desk, turning a practical working surface into something closer to a piece of art.
Across the mat, a pale winding river draws the eye through forested hills towards rose-toned mountains in the distance. A timber cabin sits quietly at the water’s edge, surrounded by dense vegetation and tall trees, while branches heavy with dark berries extend into the composition from either side.
The landscape is framed and interrupted by sweeping arches, circles, vertical lines and blocks of colour, creating the impression of looking through a series of architectural openings. A slender golden sceptre rises at one side, adding a precise, unexpected detail to the softer forms of the river, mountains and foliage.
The palette combines dusty rose, deep burgundy, olive and forest green, warm ivory and muted gold. On the desk mat’s broad horizontal surface, the contrasts become particularly effective: the landscape stretches across the centre while the stronger geometric elements anchor either side, allowing the artwork to feel detailed without making the workspace visually chaotic.
A slim dark border gives the mat a clean, defined finish against the desk.
Beyond its visual character, the Bathurst Desk Mat (No. 05) provides a comfortable, generous surface for the working day. The smooth neoprene top creates an even foundation for a keyboard, mouse, notebook and other desk essentials, while the non-slip backing helps keep the mat securely in place.
Available in three sizes, it can suit everything from a compact laptop setup to a more expansive workstation. In an office, study or home workspace, Bathurst No. 05 brings colour, depth and a sense of landscape to the place where the day’s work takes shape.
