The Origin DO Wall Clock (No. 03) brings the collection’s simplest instruction to perhaps its most fitting object: DO, set against the passing of time.
At its centre, the white letterform emerges from a deep purple composition built from the letters of ALORSE, taken apart, enlarged and reworked into abstract curves, planes and intersecting forms. Look closely and fragments of the house name remain; from across the room, the composition reads simply as graphic form.
With no numerals or hour markers interrupting the artwork, slender white hands move directly across the face. The result is deliberately spare—part functional object, part graphic study, and a quiet reminder that time becomes meaningful through what we choose to do with it.
A slim white wood frame provides a crisp counterpoint to the saturated purple face, while a clear plexiglass front protects the artwork. The silent mechanism keeps time without an audible tick.
At 10 inches, it has enough presence for an office, study, library or living space without overwhelming its surroundings.
