The Bathurst Arctic Fleece Blanket (No. 01) brings the collection’s richly layered landscape across a generous expanse of soft fleece, where deep colour, sweeping geometry and illustrated detail transform an everyday blanket into something approaching textile art.
Across the composition, a pale winding river moves through forested hills towards distant mountains, while a waterside cabin, sculptural botanicals and finely drawn trees emerge among Bathurst’s architectural forms. Deep navy, olive, warm ivory, and muted gold give this edition its distinctive character — rich and dramatic, yet remarkably easy to introduce into an interior.
The design changes depending on how the blanket is used. Spread open, the landscape reveals itself more fully: mountains rise in the distance, the river moves through the centre of the composition and botanical details frame the scene. Draped over a chair or folded across the foot of a bed, those elements fragment into passages of navy, olive, ivory and gold, allowing Bathurst to read almost as abstraction.
