The Bathurst Zipper Wallet (No. 05) brings the collection’s richly layered world to an everyday accessory, allowing landscape, geometry and botanical detail to take on an unexpectedly intimate scale.
Across its two sides, Bathurst reveals different parts of the composition. One brings distant mountains into view alongside sculptural foliage, sweeping geometric forms and passages of rose, burgundy, olive, warm ivory and muted gold. Turn the wallet over and the landscape becomes more abstract: a winding river appears between layered forms while branches laden with dark berries cross the composition.
The smaller proportions give Bathurst No. 05 a different character. From a distance, the wallet reads primarily through colour, shape and movement; only on closer inspection do the landscape and botanical details begin to reveal themselves. The softly textured surface adds another layer of dimension, making the artwork feel integrated into the object rather than simply placed upon it.
A full zip-around closure keeps everything neatly contained, opening to reveal dedicated space for cards, notes, coins and other small essentials. At 7.87" × 4.33", it offers generous organisation while maintaining a streamlined profile that slips easily into a handbag, tote or work bag.
