The Crescendo Passport Cover (No. 03) brings the collection’s richly layered artwork to one of travel’s most essential objects, wrapping the passport in a composition alive with colour, movement and details that reveal themselves gradually.
Across the cover, sweeping petal-like forms intertwine with calabash- and gourd-inspired vessels, spirals, botanical markings and finely drawn decorative details. Burnt orange, coral, rose, burgundy, cream and deep wine flow into one another, while dotted passages and small gold-toned accents bring additional texture to the composition. Subtle A motifs are incorporated within the spirals, appearing almost as discoveries within the artwork rather than conventional branding.
The compact proportions of the passport cover give Crescendo a particularly concentrated character. Forms overlap and disappear beyond the edges, allowing the eye to move continuously across the surface. What initially reads as an expressive abstract composition gradually reveals vessels, petals, markings and smaller details — a fitting design for an object intended to accompany journeys and discovery.
A black PU faux-leather spine provides a clean visual frame for the richly coloured exterior, grounding the artwork while giving the cover a polished finish. Its slim profile slips easily into a briefcase, tote, backpack or carry-on without unnecessary bulk.
