The Ascendant Ceramic Mug (No. 02) brings the distinctive upward movement of the Ascendant Collection to one of the day’s most familiar rituals.
Across a warm cream ground, elongated forms, sweeping curves and richly detailed circles rise through a sophisticated palette of olive, rust, charcoal, soft grey and gold-toned accents. Fine linear details and slender architectural elements lend structure to the composition, while more fluid forms move between them, creating a design that feels both ordered and expressive.
A sweeping double curve opens the composition into a generous field of white, providing a striking counterpoint to the richness of the pattern. The words RISE. THEN RAISE OTHERS. sit quietly within this space, allowing the Ascendant artwork to remain the defining feature of the piece.
Turn the mug and the composition changes. The restrained white field gives way to an almost uninterrupted expanse of Ascendant, revealing textured circles, vertical forms and sweeping lines that continue around the ceramic. From every angle, new details come into view.
Made from glossy white ceramic with a classic C-shaped handle, it is designed for morning coffee, afternoon tea and the innumerable cups that accompany days spent thinking, working and making progress.
A distinctive addition to the desk, study, kitchen or home office — and a considered gift for a leader, mentor, colleague, graduate or anyone with their sights set a little higher.
