The composition begins with the letters of ALORSE, taken apart and reimagined at an architectural scale. Curves, verticals and intersecting forms move across the surface in layers of black and graphite until the name itself disappears, leaving behind an abstract study in line, proportion and movement.
The generous proportions of the desk mat give Origin No. 09 room to unfold. Forms enter and leave the composition at the edges, broad curves sweep across the working surface, and quieter details emerge as the light changes. From a distance, the effect is restrained. Spot clean with warm water and mild dish soap. For more persistent marks, gently use a soft-bristled brush. There is no need to soak the entire mat.
